Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

hey hey hey....hello!!! I don't want to end the year without having a year-end post so here goes..

The year 2011 has been a wonderful year to me and my family, first, we have a new addition to our family, a bouncing baby girl! =)  Second, my one true love, baking cakes, we found each other this year and for me to be doing what i love, my passion, is just amazing, i mean I couldn't think of any words really to express how happy i am.  I have gained so much knowledge along the way and the more I know, the more I want to know.  Earning from it is actually just the icing to the cake.  So, I'd like to THANK YOU! YES YOU! for giving me the opportunity to share my passion with you, your family and friends.  Having my cakes into your home is like having me there as well. I can't thank all you lovely people enough.

Another blessing came this year and although I might not be doing caking full-time because of that, I have promised myself to keep on learning, to take classes, to improve so that when the time comes, I'll be ever ready to creating the cakes of your dreams.   

So today, it is just 3 days away from Christmas, the birth of our Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ.  I'd like to wish you and your family abundant blessings and a wonderful love-filled Christmas!

Just a quick update!

Hi everyone! IKR..it's been ages...i know! I haven't been writing but I have got cake orders since the last post that I wasn't able to upload here(i tried, but for some reason, blogspot is sooo slow with pic uploading if not error! ), there was Phineas and ferb cupcakes, which i got wonderful raves from the client, the Wedding cake! again, the bride was extremely happy with it, another hello kitty cake and cupcakes and so on and wonderful testimonials to love from my adorable clients! ahhh!  Love them!

Hello Kitty Cupcakes!

So this set I made for a lovely little girl's birthday and got a lovely review too from the client Michelle, the little girl's mom. =)

Mickey Mouse Theme for a Little Boy's 1st Birthday

Got a little time-off today, the boys are having a day-out and it's just me and little Enya with our jazz music playing, bliss. =)

Two weeks ago, just a couple of days after I gave birth, a rush order came and you know cake-making is just one of the things I can hardly say no to.  My husband who was quiet worried wanted me to have a week rest but I insisted, helped me out nonetheless,  we slept around 3am. Thank God for great husbands, I must say.

So this was the set we made.  A clean & simple Mickey Mouse Cake and cupcakes with "rasta" colored stripes as what the client requested.

Pre-Nup Pictorial: Collaboration with Sister Nog Bernido -Photographs by Nog Bernido

 Hi everyone!

Haven't been blogging lately, promise I will update you with cake pictures for the next couple of weeks. =)

Now, our elder sister Nog came home for our scheduled collaboration, this is for the Pre-nup (or post? =) ) pictures of our sister Cyde and Bajhs.  We were also planning to have our little girl pictures taken, did I mention we have a new addition to our family already? =) . well that's for another post I guess since I will be making something special for our little girl.. =)   ok..ok...but my sister left for Bohol the morning my BOW ruptured, but that's the good thing about having a photographer in the family, we can always have our pictures taken some other time -anytime. =)

..and back to the pre-nup..my sisters went to Wildberry Gardens in Lorega, Kitaotao,  Buda  (c/o Thelma 09164755684) for the pictorial, my husband and I made the huge cupcake and the cookies the night before and prepared the mugs and cake plate for the mini dessert table.  My husband probably spent 2 hours designing just one cookie, it was his first, so got to give him some slack. hehehe

I love the pictures!!!! My sister Nog did a fantabulous job! Our sister Cyde, we know that she's not very comfortable with the camera but my sister made a wonderful job in bringing out the couples love and charm, with the help of our younger sister Ida who was also there. Mickey Mouse CLubhouse Theme for a Little Girl's 4th Birthday!

The Lord knows when to give.  I have been focusing on something for the whole month of June and so I ask Him to give me time to prioritize, and since He knew I couldn't say no to cake-making, let's just say He purposely made a way to keep me focused with my goals.


Anyway, after the exam, I received a rather short-notice order, I had to call my sister Cyde to help me out and my hands were itching to make sugar figures.  I'm glad I made these!

Another ELmo-Themed Bday Cupcakes

Hi everyone!

One thing, I miss baking & decorating!

Haven't been caking for a while as I'm on my 36th week and the little girl's getting a bit heavier and heavier by the day.  I also had to review for an exam so I needed to focus and had to say no to a few orders (even if I wanted toooooo).

But with this, I just can't =)

Ing, a good friend of mine and one of the most talented and artistic people I met online- she is a scrapbook designer! and has a very kind heart, asked me a month ago to make cupcakes for her little boy who is turning one and who's a big fan of Elmo!  The little boy apparently screams Emo! when he sees Elmo in pictures like my previous Elmo cake here and in the telly....now that is just so cute!

Also, Ing is giving me a cupcake tower as pasalubong and we are going to finally meet in person sometime next week!!! weeeeeeeeeee
